Overview

A price list sets prices for a chosen set of SKUs, either for all sites (Global) or for one site (Site-specific), between optional effective dates. You create the list, add SKU prices to it, and make it Active when it should be used.

Guidelines

  1. Create as Draft, activate when ready

New lists start as Draft. Add and check the prices first, then set the status to Active.

  2. Switch lists on and off with Status

Effective dates record when a list is meant to apply, but the status decides whether it is used. Set a list to Active when it should apply and to Inactive when it should stop.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Price Lists

Go to Pricing → Price Lists. Filter by Organization, Scope and Status. Each row shows the scope, site, effective dates and status, with Items, Edit and Delete actions.

  2. Step 2: Create a price list

Click Create Price List. Enter a Name (required) and choose the Scope: Global, or Site-specific and then the Site. Optionally set Effective From and Effective To, choose the Status (Draft, Active or Inactive), and save.

  3. Step 3: Open the list's items

Click Items on the list's row. The page shows how many SKUs have custom pricing and, for each one, the Default MRP, the List MRP, the Sale Price and whether the price is tax inclusive.

  4. Step 4: Add a SKU price

Click Add SKU Pricing, choose the SKU, and enter the MRP and Sale Price (pre-filled from the SKU's MRP). Tick Price is tax inclusive if the price already includes GST, then click Add Pricing.

  5. Step 5: Change many prices at once

Use Edit as sheet on the items page to update many SKU prices in a spreadsheet-style grid.

Terms

List MRP

The MRP set for the SKU in this price list, which can differ from the SKU's default MRP.

Sale Price

The price the SKU is sold at under this list.

Tax inclusive

The price already includes GST, rather than GST being added on top.

Key points

  • Only Active lists are used for selling.

  • A site-specific list takes precedence over a global list for that site.

Warnings

Deleting a price list also deletes all of its SKU prices. To stop using a list, set it to Inactive instead.

FAQs

I added prices but the till still shows the old price.

Check that the list's status is Active, and that it is a global list or a site-specific list for that store.

Should I tick Price is tax inclusive?

Tick it when the price you entered already includes GST, as MRPs in India usually do.
